D3.1 - Wide-area Protocols Report2007/04/07
AbstractThis document reports on the work that has been performed on the evaluation, selection and development of strong consistent, group based, database replication protocols suited for wide-area settings. We chose to select two protocols addressing different requirements: the Database State Machine protocol ensuring Snapshot-Isolation consistency and a novel protocol, WICE, for interconnected clusters aimed at providing disaster recovery guarantees ensuring 1-copy-equivalence. This report presents both protocols in detail.Full textpdf |
